In the beginning there was charcoal

In the beginning there was charcoal, and from that was born a line; from the line emerged symbol, image and language. With these one can make amazing, terrifying, and secret energies visible, to be manipulated… or even conquered. When the line finds itself, it is freed from time and space. This exhibition was created using the enlarged images of dried flowers. In this garden of lines I see forms frozen in time, revealing the essence of their being. But in their silent knowledge lives a universe of rhythm.
